80. William Poke Monnett was born on May 28 1827.(14) He died about 1897.(15) In 1845 and 1850 William had sons (James Lawson and Leon A.) born in
Iowa.

In 1870 Census William was listed a wagon maker in Clay Township,
Hendricks County, Indiana.

Putnam County Deed Records #19-272 of February 21, 1877 show William in
Mercer Couny Missouri at that time. Moved to Mill Grove, Mercer County
Missouri as a railroad station agent. Some people say he might have been
involved with Jesse James. The Millgrove, Washington Township, Mercer
County, Missouri census of 1880 shows him still there and married to a
Rachel R. _____ and her son Estel L. Scott.

Settled in Hendricks County, In. in 1866. Republican M. Baptist


Hendricks County Marriage Records show a William P. Monnett married to
a Mary J. Oosley April 22 1874, Book 8 Page120. Don't know if the same
William or not. If it is need divorce or death record for Martha Conley
as her death date is after the marriage date of William and Mary J.
Oosley.

Rachel R. _____ was born about 1848 in Ohio. (16)

He was married to Martha A. Conley on Jun 10 1845 in Putnam Co IN.(17) Martha A. Conley was born on May 30 1827 in Kentucky. (18) She died on Sep 30 1874.(19) Grave at Coatsville,Ind. (Martha P. Monnet died Sept.2,1879 Age 44yrs. 4
mons. 22 days? William Poke Monnett and Martha A. Conley had the following children:

child114 i. Leon A. Monnett was born about 1845 in Iowa. (20) He died on Aug 26 1897.(21) Died at around 52 yrs. of age.
